with all due respect: why invest over 400$ in this project when the winner / first prize only gets 150$? it would be waay more motivating & attractive for serious desiners if you allocated the whole budget for the winner

I thought having a second prize would be more motivating than only one opportunity to win? Some of the rest of the budget is for participation payments.
This is the first time i’ve used design crowd and admittedly i’ve approached it haphazardly (and not in a cost effective manager in terms of the additional charges DesignCrowd tag on for making upgrades/changes). In terms of the prize allocation I don’t think i’m able to change that now.
Totally agree with you i should have approached this differently/ thought it through much better.
