Brief de Design de Logo

EliXiR Brewing Company is a Brewery in Planning based in San Antonio, Texas, in the United States. We plan to open a Micro Brewery as soon as possible that will specialize in producing outstanding European beers that have been traditionally brewed in Germany and Belgium.

Our new logo will need to be used for beer labels, bottle caps, pint glasses, beer coasters, and signs.

We pay very close attention to every detail in our business and personal lives. As a Brewing Company we aspire to stand above other Breweries and would like that attitude to be reflected in our logo. With that in mind, please design an EliXiR Brewing Company logo that is artistic, exceptional, intriguing, and memorable.

As far as imagery, when visiting places that serve alcohol, you often have to wait while choosing your beer or waiting for it to be poured from a tap. As a result, the first thing you often see is the artwork and designs on the beer coasters, taps, signs, etc. So the design must effectively speak for the beer before it is ever drank.

• Should include: "EliXiR Brewing Company," with "EliXiR" being larger and more prominent. Please see the attached jpg for the preferred size ratio of the text. "EliXiR" does not have to be right above "Brewing Company." I would prefer the letters E, X, and R to be in CAPS. Take liberty with the font, just keep it readable. Colors should stay minimal with only 3-5 colors. Keep colors in warm and dark.

• Potential elements to include in the logo could be items related to Elixirs, bottles, potions; themes related to the U.S. State of Texas, the country of Germany; German Eagles or Crests; a large letter "X"; Emblems; use of beer liquids or flowing; etc ... For the German Eagle, see the 2nd attachment for the Eagle that is used on the German flag; please use this one and not a NAZI Eagle.
• THIS NOTE WAS ADDED AFTER 469 SUBMISISONS TO OUR PROJECT - If you're going to use an eagle please try to stand out. I've eliminated over 150 designs with eagles. I am trying to leave feedback for everyone but we really want to see what you will come up on your own.
• We thought the name EliXiR was very inspiring. To us it has historical interest due to the connection with apothecary elixirs in the early 1900's. We like the marriage of old and new. We like the idea that our beer is potent and powerful like other meanings of EliXiR. Elixirs were known for magical or medicinal power. Apothecary elixirs contained alcohol and were a little sweetened. We were hoping to grasp that meaning in the overall design.
• We love history and tradition but wish to be relevant in this modern era. We are not like your average beer brewery. We are craftsmen and artisans of beer. We are well traveled and have lived on 3 continents. Europe, Asia, and North America. We have borrowed traditions from the worlds greatest beer brewers to inspire our recipes. We wish to appeal to the discerning upscale customer with refined taste, who enjoys good flavor with good friends in luxurious but inviting and comfortable surroundings. We would like that to reflect in our logo. Please do not make us look like we sell Computers.
• We are looking for more of an artistic impact and do not wish to exude a corporate vibe. We are craftsmen and artisans and want that reflected in the logo.
• It would also be nice to have A symbol that could stand alone and be recognizable outside of the text or an element of the text that could easily represent the brewery on its own.

• Please do not include elements related to Mexico's Day of the Dead celebrations, which are very common in Texas and already used by many Texas Breweries.
• Don't focus too much on the obvious, such as hops, wheat, brewery equipment, etc because it has been overdone, unless it is done exceptionally well.
