International cover needed for the Australian (Harper Collins/ABC Books 2011) non-fiction book Becoming Us: 8 Steps to Grow a Family that Thrives.
Blurb: With the birth of a baby, come other new beginnings, the birth of a mother, of a father, and of a family. With each stage of a child's growth, and with every new baby, there are more new beginnings. In older cultures and in villages around the world, parenthood was considered a rite of passage but traditions that guided parents into becoming a family have largely been lost - until now.
This ground breaking book walks a new generation of mothers and fathers through the eight steps of the modern parenthood rite of passage, from couple-connection to family-foundations, so they can prepare for and continue to grow a family that thrives.
Bio: Elly Taylor is a relationship counsellor, parent educator and columnist for Practical Parenting magazine. She lives in Sydney with her husband, their three gorgeous children and an itinerary of pets. This is her first book.

Thank you for your patience, I haven't ever done anything like this before and the designs submitted have helped me to be more specific in my requests. Please see the updated brief. The most important point is that I am seeking a TEXT based cover, so BOTH the TITLE and SUBTITLE should take up most of the space, the image could either be in the background with the title and subtitle overlayed, or be much smaller to fit around them. I have attached some more images to the brief, hope they help to convey the 'feel' I am after. Thanks again!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Thank you so much for taking an interest in this project, the process has been very educational and helpful for me. While some of the stock art in the submitted designs are great, I've decided to commission a custom illustration which completely captures the meaning of Becoming Us. I will upload the illustration once it's complete for designers who are still interested to use.

Thank you all for your patience and for opening up my thinking about what I am really hoping for with this cover. I have uploaded some new tree designs and more specific instructions that I would like to be included in the cover design. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!
