Just to clarify you are wanting to keep the logo as the blue background with white font and border. You merely want it to be in a different shade of blue, different font and to say O'Brien Catering Group?

I would love to present my idea but there's something kinda holding it back.

You have another project running in here (which is actually pending selection) asking designers to present a NEW logo for " O'Brien Catering Group " - http://jobs.designcrowd.com/job.aspx?id=135332

You present a same file with the same logo that you actually use for the company in both projects.
What´s the reason for you to ask designers to 'REDESIGN EXISTING logo to read 'O'Brien Catering Group' in this project once you have another project running to get a NEW one?

Conceptionfactory, what is your problem? If the Project owner has guaranteed both projects, I see no issue whatsoever. One project is for text + icon and the other for text only.
