Thank you for rising up to the challenge! Re-arranging the text is definitely on the table. We feel that the "SHANNON" font and arched lay-out is iconic to the brand. The owner suggested an ellipse under the the arched name which seems to make sense....or does it-he is a landscaper and not a graphic designer after all! Would "reverse" arching the "Lawn & Landscaping" under the ellipse make sense? Then its just a question of artwork inside the ellipse which most of you would probably be able to do while you were asleep! Modified direction-preserve the iconic font and reduce or eliminate the arch in favor of classic artwork? Thinking outside the box.....does pairing up the "SHANNON" with a mascot that communicates the message or makes people laugh. Think "Ohhhh how cute (or funny?)!" ? BTW we have print and website design etc following successful logo!

I think the "SHANNON" should stand alone OR stand out more across the top- though I like the thinking outside the box! Probably want something symmetrical. I think you might be on to something with the layering of greens, blues and the clouds. I would suggest making the first tree more in foreground, eliminating depression it appears to be sitting in eliminating birds.
