Group within a large multinational organization needs a visual name

We need a visual ID for a new group within a large multinational organization. Our group is called [Company Name] Digital. We want the word digital to be the "logo" but it won't be used locked up with the actual logo of the company.
We want the design to be the word digital itself with the middle letter 'i' called out in some way to emphasize the human side in a digital world.
For example, we discarded a design in which digItal was lowercase in the font "Let's Go Digital" and the I was capitalized in Arial and in gold. While we liked this concept, the font seemed too "old school".
The design will primarily be used digitally (of course) but should be simple to print on surfaces like T-Shirts or business cards. Voir plus
