Kids and Families Photographer needs a new logo

C'est ce que Emily Sterne Photography recherchait dans leur logo design

My photography business is small and survives almost entirely on word-of-mouth and referral business. I recently switched from primarily wedding photography to kids and family portraiture.

My photographic style is very natural and 'unstyled,' but a professional presentation to my clients is important to me.
My current logo features two stars because Sterne, which is my maiden name (now only my business' name), means 'stars' in german and when I shot weddings, the two stars together referenced the couples I worked with. I like the reference to my name's meaning although it doesn't really have much to do with my brand and most people wouldn't get it anyway, so it's not a critical part of a new design.

What I am looking for in a new logo is something clean, smart and elegant without being too stuffy or pretentious. Allusions to photography or cameras are ok but not necessary. I am leaning toward something more monochromatic than what I have now.
