Integrated Middle School Science Partnership Project (San Francisco Bay Area)
This project will develop and study a professional development model designed to transform science teaching and learning in under-performing middle schools serving predominantly low-income minority students. IMSS is designed to engage and inspire teachers and students in "authentic discovery" as active members of a science professional learning community with discipline faculty, federal research laboratory and industry scientists, and leading informal science institutions.

IMSS Goals:
1) Increase the quality, quantity, and diversity of middle school science teachers and students engaged in transformative science teaching and learning
2) Create online professional development anchored in exemplary project-based investigative science in instructional cases
