Chateau de Jalesnes is a grand old lady of the Loire Valley. The current owners have saved her from ruin and are in the throes of renovating her once imperious lines, creating 14 self-catering holiday apartments of huge proportions on the upper floors for stays of at least a week. The former state rooms on the ground floor including a chapel, library, ballroom and salons are being recreated in the Directoire/Empire style for use by guests in addition to their private space. The dry-moated chateau is set in a wooded park of 20 acres which includes formal French gardens and a luxury swimming pool.

The chateau can be rented in it''s entirety for weddings and will become a residential cooking school for several weeks of the year. The chapel and central courtyard will hold concerts and events throughout the year.
