Alaska Professional Photographer needs logo design

I need a new logo for my photography business to replace the one I've been using for 25 years. I do several types of photography - commercial/corporate, magazine editorial and stock- especially outdoor adventure and location portraits for corporate clients or magazines. I am the official photographer of the Iditarod sled dog race, but don't want to emphasize that in my logo.
The logo will be used on the website, business cards, letterhead, and ads. It should work well in both white or black backgrounds.
It should have a contemporary look. See sample of the existing logo that looks too dated.
