New Canadian Golf apparel brand looking for logo and branding

C'est ce que Plaid Gorilla Golf recherchait dans leur logo design

I need a logo for a new golf apparel brand called "Plaid Gorilla Golf".
Although plaid is in the name, I do not want it to be the focal point of the logo. I have attached the current logo. I'd like to welcome some new interpretations on the design, making it more friendly and cost effective to print on apparel. I'd also like it to be a little more obvious that it's a golf brand.

Some styles I'm interested in:
- Minimalist
- Modern
- Bold
- Circular shape

The brand is aimed at 20-38 year old male golfers of all capabilities. For colors, I am open, but do like green, blue and yellow. I also really like matte finishes where it makes sense.

I have attached 2 existing companies logos for inspiration as well if my existing logo is not workable.
