Logo for a Caribbean Folkloric Band named Family String Band

C'est ce que Family String Band recherchait dans leur logo design

We have a band that plays traditional Caribbean string band music.
The band consist of family members and we have 8 members in the band. We are looking for a logo that is modern and but still captures the essence of the old folklore string band style.
We would love it if the logo could stand out on its own even without the name of the band. We of course are thinking of prints and T shirts and stickers for merchandising.
I posted an image of what we are using now as an example. But instead of one character it would need to represent a band.
The instruments we use are guitars, trumpet, accordion, guiro, trey, Marimba Box. You can find us on YouTube also to get a feel of the group.
