Board game publishing company logo design

I need a logo design for a new board game publishing company which develops and publishes its own games. As well as the text, the logo will need to have a design/symbol/icon that can be simplified (if not already simplified in of itself) so it can be added to game packaging, as well as merchandise, such as t-shirts, hats, etc. I would like to see a design that riffs on the company name - however that inspiration takes you.
