International Firearms Manufacturer Needs an Earth Shattering New Logo

We need a logo design for a new rifle manufacturing company based in Arizona named "Comrades in Arms, LLC" We sell and manufacture Soviet type firearms (AK-47 / AK-74 and other variants. We want to see designs that incorporate the AK-47 rifle, Red Soviet Star, English and Russian writing of our company name.

I drafted a sample logo that we really like. The logo is not static, but rather gives a 3-D look and feel as the star and rifle are coming at the viewer.

For the star, we like the WW2 type of star where you can see the detail behind the enamel. In the attachment, the star is not flat, but coming toward the viewer. For the rifle, would it be possible to sue the one in my example? It is almost pointing toward the viewer and you can see all of the detail of the gun. I also like the arch of the writing.
