Analytics company seeking a logo based on the pareto principle

C'est ce que Sparsity Labs recherchait dans leur logo design

My colleague and I are starting an analytics company called Sparsity Labs (www.sparsitylabs.com) and are looking for a logo.

Sparsity Labs is named after the Pareto Principle in mathematics. Per Wikipedia: The Pareto principle states that for many outcomes, roughly 80% of consequences come from 20% of causes (the "vital few").Other names for this principle are the 80/20 rule, the law of the vital few, or the principle of factor sparsity.

We have come up with two different designs, but both need refinement (or we are open minded to new designs). One idea is to use a Pareto Pyramid made out of the S and the L (in the mock-up, the S is supposed to be 80% and the L is 20%.) The other idea is to do 80:20 like a digital clock but the 8 has an S highlighted and the 2 has an L highlighted. We are open minded to other ideas.

We want the design to incorporate the pareto princple (80/20%) in some way, whether through colors or the design itself. I like gold/navy/blac… Voir plus
