Refreshing our logo and brand icon

We are in the process of refreshing our image. We would like to refresh our logo in the process. We are an automation, robotic and machine building company. We need a strong and modern look and feel for our logo. We would like to keep the icon but it can be modified and modernized/iconize. Also, our logo (icon + name) is to long.
