Gritty and Aggressive Agriculture Seed Sales and Service Logo Design

We are looking to design a gritty logo for an agriculture sales and service company. The logo should be compatible with embroidery, screen, and print. The logo should have a stand alone "image/logo" without the name but we would like a secondary logo with the company name tied into it. We are an aggressive and gritty company that sells seed and agronomic services to U.S. farmers. We only focus on corn and soybeans. We like dark colors like hunter green, crimson, black, grey, etc. The name upper echelon comes from a military background along with the synonym "the best or the cream of the crop." The logo should contain a chevron component as well as some agronomic component such as leaves, roots, etc. We have included some sample logos that we like the look and feel of with a potential design sketch to help the process.
