CH Marine - Boat Builder - Logo

C'est ce que CH or CH Marine or Unique/New Logo recherchait dans leur logo design

We're a well established, small volume, boat builder in the New England area. I'm hoping to adopt a logo that we can use universally within our business.

We're looking for 2 components to this design:
First, there should be a simplistic, almost symbolic, icon to put on the hulls of boats. This should not include any vessel profiles. It might be nice for the symbol to have a way to accept a boat model name within its design i.e. 38, but not absolutely necessary. We're hoping for a readily recognizable logo that will easily direct customers to our company, even if they only catch a quick look at an eye-catching boat cruising by them.
Second, that same symbol should be incorporated into a more detailed logo for a letterhead, apparel, etc.
