We are developing the brand for our medical centre Matauranga Medical.

A logo for Matauranga Medical would be a helpful thing.

Matauranga is a Maori word which can loosely be translated to the English word knowledge.

There is a concept of Matauranga Maori which is transitional Maori knowledge.

The use of the word (kupu) by our charity Public Health Action to name our medical centre Matauranga is in deference to and recognition of the importance and wider place of knowledge within medical practice and service and in caring for one’s own health.

Also in terms of the important of freedom of thought and the power of new thinking and the possibility of new knowledge.

Maori designers and non-Maori designers alike are invited to submit designs.

Submission of designs that either:

1. Comprise a logo which is pictorial combining the concepts of knowledge and medicine or healthcare or;
