For those of you who don't know, dental labs make the crowns and dentures which are prescribed by the dentist.

Dental lab is hands-on labor intensive field and the skills of the individual dental technicians determines the outcome of the final work. Having said that, advancements in CAD/CAM technologies are slowly complimenting (I won't say replacing yet) the manual work. 3D oral scanners, CAD/CAM milled crowns and 3D printed models are slowly becoming commonplace. This is the current trend of dentistry. Your design could try to reflect this, but nothing to "techie".
