Weather forecasting and data company needs a new logo

C'est ce que netweather, but not essential recherchait dans leur logo design

We need a new logo for www.netweather.tv for use on the main site, social media and printed output. This is our 10th year online and after a site redesign, we'd also like to refresh our logo and make it a little more bold and modern looking. We create forecasts for over 3million locations four times a day and regularly have over 1.5 million unique visitors every month, mostly from the UK. The new logo should use the current blue colour somewhere (the RGB is 49,53,132), be weather related and either be scalable to fit the space provided on social media (the square on twitter and fb for example) or have a central bold symbol that works as a standalone image. the company name doesn't have to be part of the design.. We have been using the sun image as our logo on social media, but really don't like the blue ribbon as it looks dated - but again some elements of the current logo are ok so don't only go for a completely new look.
