Logo Design Project

I initially would like a Logo that looks good in both colour and B&W. I would like to see versions in one colour and 2-colour and your suggestions as to whether more colours are warranted. With use of colour, I'd like to see both Pantone and CMYK versions, but as for specific colours, I will leave that to your discretion/suggestions.

I want it scalable and able to work with ink, thread and pixels. The potential then exists to go further with business cards, website and a series of professional information brochures for my clients (much of the content of which I will provide).

I would like my logo to potentially be able to break apart into recognisable elements to provide future use-flexibility. I also want it relatively clean and simple - not too complex.

I would like your expertise as to how much white space is required/recommended around the logo to maximise its impact and which pieces can be used alone versus what must remain part of the total logo.
