Garage/Door Remotes and Motors business needs a logo

C'est ce que Automote recherchait dans leur logo design

Hello!

We need a logo for a small business based in Sydney, Australia called Automote. We are primarily selling Garage door remote controls and Garage door motors online, we are also looking to expand into servicing these motors and providing Homelink assistance (feature where your car has a button that can open your garage door or gates for you).
We are looking for a relatively modern logo that has an automotive flavour, the two principals both have an interest in cars (ranging from 60s American vehicles to current hot hatches) and motor bikes (one is more a Harley type and the other an R1 type). Not sure if that helps at all but might give you an idea into our thinking. The logo could also convey some kind of remote idea but this is a lower priority than the overall automotive feel.
Colours haven't really been decided but we should probably try and stay away from green and orange as two major manufacturers in the industry are using these colours.
