Brief de Design de Logo
I am currently creating a video sharing website to display videos of people with disabilities (or even simply people less fortunate than most, older people doing things that even younger people struggle with, etc). I am an amputee with one leg. I am a black belt in karate and have been dancing salsa for the last ten years (instructor and performer). This is where the idea originated after seeing so many incredible things.
I own the domain names:
www.checkdisability.com.au
www.checkdisability.com
The domain names are somewhat of a play on words and actually mean
check dis ability as if I were to say check out this ability in slang. I haven't really contemplated any catch phrase but am welcome to any suggestions.
I haven't really got any exact expectations for the logo. It has to look professional yet due to the naming being somewhat slang and different, I was thinking it could also be somewhat funky.
The logo will be used for everything from the website to business cards so it has to look professional. It would be nice to see a couple of business card designs with the logo, if this is able to be done.
The most important thing is that it is innovative and new as it is an unusual type of project. Because I dance, later on in the process I may have some shirts and/or clothes designed with the logo so the logo will be used in many different forms.

I have extended the deadline for another seven days. I have got some good designs but nothing that really grabs me yet. I need it too be simple so it is easily understood but also so that it can be reduced in size. I also need it to somewhat identify the purpose of the website. I like the idea of having it as Checkdisability.com.au rather than simply Checkdisability. I would also like to implement a catch phrase. I really need some more designs that think outside the box. Sorry for the inconvenience however the logo sticks with the name for good and therefore we need to get it right now.

Everyone really. The website will be used to inspire people, from those that are disabled to those that are completely healthy but are uninspired or believe that they are unable to achieve their goals.

- It definitely needs to differentiate in some way between the wording checkdisability and the actually meaning of the phrase, being check dis ability.
- Whether this is done in words or in graphics is up to the designer. The words do not actually have to be in the logo. Can be below, etc.

- Would prefer not to have references to disability. Although the website will show people with disabilities, etc doing extraordinary things, the idea of the website is to try and motivate. As previously said the logo will be on many different forms of advertising.
