Brief de Design de Logo

We already have a logo but i would like to see an overhall of it Modernise it Make it stand out but be Clean Fresh oh and did i mention Modern :)
We are a Electrical Contracting business that does every sort of Electrical, Data, Communication and Fibre Optic work in Comercial & Domestic situations.
I do like the current logo but i think it just needs to be modernised or maybe surprise me with something new like the business card proof 1 i have attached. I liked the Proof one but mmm maybe if it had been some how conjoined with the existing logo ??

• We currently have a logo but we would like to see it modernised. i like the WA Coast line in it ( but not restricted to it ) Colours are Ocean Blue and Silver. I like the text font Concielian Jet for the Word DHUWEST and in Italic ( see precious attempts) . I like a Modern Clean Simple look.
  
  Note my car will be Silver so please allow this for Background colour loss

• MODERN MODERN MODERN possibly a Colour mixture for the word DHUWEST like a ocean blue with a white or silver flicker through it. I like the ocean but thats my personal choice, we're a Eleectrical company doing all type of Electrical and Data working Fibre opitic ect
