Brief de Design de Logo

Colours: red / redish tones
(parent company logo: www.global4.info)

The logo will be used in a web similar in style to www.pulsarpbx.com (another sister brand), only in redish tones.

The product in question is a medium-to-low end Network Attached Storage system(NAS), that is, a device able to export "shared folders" (just like those in Windows, or Public folders on Mac) so that files can be shared with/among other computers in the local network.

The main attributes for this product are: simplicity, flexibility, robustness, cost-efficiency, speed, featurefull, adaptable. Though apparently contradictory in its attributes, the product can be configured in two modes: straight-forward, easy to use yet reliable and fast OR powerful, feature-rich, and extremely configurable (though complex) [think Linksys vs Cisco]

The product comprises two main components:
- "NAS head", which is the brain of the system and serves as interface to the client computers
- One or more (typ. 2) disk trays, which contain the actual data stored
(1head + 4trays look quite similar to a Comet head + tail, hence the name, as in the enclosed diagram)
The attached files show actual components (head + disk trays); The file named 'md1120_3stack' show 3 disk trays stacked.

The logo NEEDS NOT have any resemblance whatsoever to the actual system appearance. This files are only enclosed so as to complement the textual description of the product.

Marché(s) Cible(s)

Small-to-medium companies (SMB), from 20 to 100 employees tipically.
They have been overwhelmed by the need to store and preserve huge amounts of informations (tens of TBs), and cannot afford the cost of storing them in typpical storage systems.
(price comparison: about 2€/GB for traditional systems, vs ~0.25€/GB for CometNAS)
