Brief de Design de Logo

I am looking for a logo of a US based Investment Company (LLC) that specializes in technology companies - primarily business to business. We started by, but are not limited to, providing start up money to entrepreneurs. Our logo is or will be included in large corporate presentations as the financing arm of the company being showcased for new business or sale.

"Refinement" and "strength" should be the primary focus of this logo. Some leads to technology would be fine if you can figure a way to get it in or on the logo. My concerns are the continued evolutions of hardware images as well but I don't want it to become cheapened with corny clip art splashed behind the logo.
