Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company/bakery specializing in gourmet, made from scratch baked goods. We only use the highest quality ingredients, such as Plugra butter, Valrhona cocoa, Callebaut chocolate, etc.
The business is called 'Lumberjack Bake Shop' in Nacogdoches, TX. The bake shop got it's name from the Lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin State University, the college in Nacogdoches. This concept is similar to that of Georgetown Cupcake, Sprinkles, and Buttercups Cupcakes. We would like the design to be fun, attractive, sleek, clean, and as good as many top logos out there. The logo should represent us, our name, and our product well!

We thought the picture of the cartoon lumberjack (attached) was really cute, but we aren't sure if it may be too cartoonish to represent our brand. We thought it would be cute if part of our logo contained a lumberjack holding a whisk or wooden spoon that was dripping cake batter instead of an axe. We are leaving it up to you guys, the experts, to decide what logo will be best to represent our brand! We don't want our company to be represented in a childish manner.
