Brief de Design de Poster

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR SPORTS DESIGNERS

The University of Oregon club rowing team is holding a fundraising event – The Million Meter

Challenge. As a team we will collectively row one million meters on indoor rowing machines.

We are looking for an eye catching poster that incorporates the following aspects in a creative way:

>> Designs MAY NOT include any University of Oregon logos or fonts. The club rowing team is not affiliated with the athletic department.

>> Suggested fonts are Microgramma and AkzidenzGroteskBE-Bold.

>> The event will take place on McArthur Basketball Court on February 15th

>> Features of the event include a “Race a Rower” competition, a pasta meal, and a raffle and silent auction with prizes from local businesses.

>> UO school colors are lightning yellow (# fce122) and thunder green (# 18453b), although eye-catching designs with different color schemes are welcome.

>> The event is titled “The Million Meter Challenge”, it also may be referred to as an Erg-a-thon, or 1,000,000 Meter Challenge. Experiment with it.

>> Successful designs will include elements related to the sport of rowing (mainly) rowing machines, but also oars, boats, etc.

>>This event is funded by the Duck Events Fund, and the attached logo must be incorporated into the design in some way (the bottom corner is fine). Consider leaving space at the bottom footer for additional sponsor logos.

Design ideas we’re interested in:

1.) An 8 x 10 poster, a traditional erg-a-thon poster that includes people on a rowing machine and heavily utilizes the school colors listed above. See seconddesign images for inspiration.

2.) An 8 x 10 poster with minimalist design that features a hardwood basketball court with a single rowing machine spotlighted in the center with text above reading “University of Oregon Club Rowing Presents:” and below reading “One Million Meter Challenge, find out more at McArthur Court February 15th”. Looking for something similar to hard court spotlight ads attached.

3.) An 8x10 unique rowing poster which stands out as something eye catching and creative. Examples posted as example3.1/3.2 for inspiration.
