Brief de Web Design

New website design for the Family Christian Development Center.
- Current site: www.fcdcin.org -
We are looking for a nice clean, simple, friendly-yet-elegant website layout.
Colors are #f5eed5 (cream), #FFFFFF (white), and all logo colors.
Design a layout for home page
Design a layout for general layouts
-layout only no html needed (preferably a high res PSD file format) -
Main menu should be along top with side navigation for submenu, no side menu on home page.
Also would be open to seeing some updated colors on the logo design, currently the colors are slightly outdated. The Tree of Life quilt design fits the organization’s mission and the rural farming / Amish-Mennonite-Brethren community around us.

Our annual special event is Come to the Table and should be integrated into the home page - see attached logos and banner


Websites with elements we like (from organizations doing similar work), each for a different reason....

1. http://www.familypathways.org
Good design, color, clarity on this site. Multi-dimensional, photos...easy interaction, etc.

2. http://solvehungertoday.org
Quite simple, nothing fancy, but some good basic stuff here, and pretty easy to navigate...

3. http://www.peoplesrc.org
Intrigued by the bulletin board design and the way they have their programs broken down to show impact, needs, etc. It has a lot of good information, but is really too verbose, some of the print is too small, etc. Not perfect, but some interesting design elements.

4. http://commonpantry.org
Site is boring and not very well designed, but it has some of the features that we would like to see at the top, donations, partners, etc.

5. http://www.aurorafoodpantry.org
Too many listings on the sidebar - needs to be cleaner & simpler, but a lot of good information and we like the way they show volunteer photos on the We Love our Volunteers page...
