Brief de Design de Logo

We want a simple, flat logo for The English Connection. We would prefer a modern, clean, minimal style. One that is easily printable on shirts, embroidery, etc.

Two possible directions for this logo:

Single Color. Can incorporate a negative space design.
Multi-color: If it incorporates a subtle use of US Flag style, that is fine. The logo still needs to work as a single-color even if multi-color is used. No more than three colors, please.

Domain for hosting will be "englishconnection.org". Therefore, the words "English Connection" are the most important words. "the" is more of a side-note, but we would like it to be there if possible and if it is not distracting.

Attached are the old logo, and also dirty idea from the director--which is not necessarily what is desired, just an idea.

Donors, as this is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. They use english lessons to help with education in areas with social and economic hardships.
