Brief de Design de Logo

Logo for a new law firm whose target clients are individuals and small businesses. Last name is Brown, so would like to incorporate the color brown if it can be done without making the logo too drab. Office will be on a lake, so would also like to incorporate the color blue and hope to have a design element that subtly evokes water in some way if possible. In other words, interested in not just a text logo, but also one that integrates a graphic element. Prefer soft, gradual transitions between brown and blue, rather than stark two-tone. Will build website around color and style of logo, so should be something that not only will look good on a business card but also can serve as a starting point for website color palette. Hoping to create a sense of both creativity and professionalism.
