Brief de Design de Logo

New company just established called 8 STRATEGIC. The 8 is very significant because we will have sub brands that represent different business processes utilising the number/symbol 8.

We will be operating in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia initially. The number 8 is sen as a lucky number, particularly throughout Asia.

The figure of 8 on it's side and stretched is seen as the symbol of infinity. In terms of the logo design we do not want to directly depict it as the infinity sign, but the association can be there. The fact that we will have different names and processes using the digit 8, means that it will mean 8 rather than infinity to people.

The graphic 8 should be most prominent, the word Strategic is secondary but still important. I am thinking that the shape should be flowing, but am open to seeing some angular more geometric versions.

The brand is likely to have the tagline 'Building Profitable Enterprises', but this does not necessarily have to reside by the logo... it could exist at the bottom of the letterhead for example.

The processes using the digit 8 will be words such as

Captiv8
Circul8
accelerat8
Orient8
Popul8
Navig8
Collaborat8
Extric8

We will have 8 of these.In terms of the brand concepts it would be good to see how the same branded 8 might look on a few of these process model-brands.

The business helps start up enterprises and existing enterprises to develop strong marketing positioning through brand management, business strategy and Project management. The business specialises in creating new entities and getting them to market (Ideas 2 Enterprise).

Projects include International Marketing Projects in Malaysia and we will have the derivations 8 Strategic (M) Sdn Bhd for Malaysia and already have 8 Strategic Pte Ltd for Singapore. So once brand version and fonts are locked in we will have these variations done also.

The name is understated. The logo needs to be elegant and professional - our market is the medium/high-end business community.Not sure on colours but not green or orange
(shades of browns and blues could work) or possibly grey contrasted with feature colour.
