Brief de Design de Logo

We are operating a company that creates eco-friendly balsa wood surfboards in Ecuador (our current market focus is the US, but we will be a global brand). You can see our current web site at www.yanasurf.com (note: we are re-branding from Yuyana Boards to Yāna Surf).

The word Yāna in Buddhism means vehicle to speed travel in a spiritual way. The brand should look hip but also old and established (think Tazo Tea). It also needs to reflect our surf culture and ties to Ecuador. Yāna is spiritual, Yāna is hip, Yāna is wise, Yāna is beautiful, and Yāna is "one" with the surf and the environment. Can you bring Yāna to life visually and embody the spirit of these statements?

We need a logo and identify kit (business card, letter head, and envelope). Logo needs to look good on the web and amazing on a surf board. It would also be great to have some general guidelines for laying this out on a web page.

• This design should be hip, surfer cool, and sexy. However, it should also have an old established even retro feel (think of the movie Endless Summer and the old Kung Fu series).
  
  This will also be used to sell clothing and apparel as well as surfboards. Thus, this design must look good on a business card, look AMAZING on a surfboard, and look great on a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or web page.
