Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for the Port Orchard Bay Street Association (POBSA) - a non-profit merchants association in the City of Port Orchard, Washington. Port Orchard is located on Sinclair Inlet on Puget Sound west of Seattle in the State of Washington and across from the Navy shipyard in Bremerton, WA. We have a working waterfront, rather than a recreational waterfront, but there are no beaches. There are several marinas where recreational boaters can stay. We have a view of the Olympic Mountains. The Port Orchard Bay Street Association is located in historic downtown Port Orchard.

POBSA is committed to promoting and enhancing downtown Port Orchard, WA. We welcome memberships from both business and community members. We are organized to encourage a strong local economy and quality of life by sponsoring and participating in downtown community events and festivals, sponsoring business-related activities and improving local aesthetics.

The current logo is a pencil drawing of a street of buildings with the name "Port Orchard Bay Street Association". This logo, while pretty on paper, does not work on the website or social media. As a temporary fix, we are currently using a simplified sailboat, which you can find on Facebook if you search for Port Orchard Bay Street Association. We are looking for something simple that will work on a website and social media sites like Facebook or Google+ as well as on business cards and letterhead as well as for wayfinding purposes and signage and that will come to be recognized as representing Port Orchard and the Port Orchard Bay Street Association.

The tag line is "Minutes Away - A World Apart".
