Brief de Design de Logo

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

The Bastion Group is a a group of companies that include Bastion EBA (Corporate Sponsorship - ‘Emotional Brand Alignment’), Bastion S+GO (Government sponsorships and relationships), and Bastion Undertow (Media). We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.


LOGO BRIEF:

Your mission is to design a logo just for The Bastion Group at this stage. The logo in this brief is specifically for The Bastion Group, but the final logo will be executed across all of the brands. So make this logo agile. A new website will be designed further down the track, so this must look stunning on a homepage.

The Current Logo

The Bastion Group’s current logo reflects its roots in sports sponsorship. The font is very sports like, the colours are quite masculine and it features a shield shape. Now that the company has evolved and expanded to other offerings, this should be reflected in the logo and branding. The current logo is also difficult to work with: The colours are hard, the font is too sports/male specific, the shape is awkward, and the ‘Group’ part is just too small when the logo is used at minimum size.

New logo

• You can use the existing brand colours, or choose your own. That is totally up to you.
- existing brand colours are Pantone 2915 (blue), Pantone 187 (dark red) and Pantone Cool Gray 11
• Use a symbol/icon/brandmark/logotype if you wish
• Possibly nclude a unique feature to each of the different companies to differentiate between them
• Make it sophisticated, sexy, stylish, contemporary, dynamic
• You have full creative licence to come up with something that reflects the company and that can be adapted for the other companies at a later date
