Brief de Design de Logo

"Peery Family Dentistry" I'm looking for a logo for my dental practice in Lynchburg, VA. We are a comprehensive family dental practice with father and son dentists. My idea for the logo is to have a river, or mountains (photo or graphic) incorporated as our town is on the James River at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains An alternative for me would be something that is slightly modern with earth tone colors (greens, browns, greys) and geometric shapes that flow together well so that the image gets your attention but doesnt blind you. A third possibility would be to use graphics suggestive of dentists like teeth, etc. I'm not against using just the initials "PFD" if it ends up looking better than the full business name.
