Brief de Design de Logo

We need a new logo for our pet boarding and grooming business. We have a large kennel that houses 40+ dogs and around 20 cats when we are full. We also offer grooming (hair cuts, nail trims, baths, etc.) for dogs.

We run a veterinary clinic that is in a separate building right next door. They are separate business so we want a unique identity for the pet care center but want the designs to complement each other. Basically, we want to look like two businesses under the same corporation. I am attaching the vet clinic's logo so you can see the style of logo we like - simple and elegant.

We are in the process of remodeling the kennel to make it more elegant and look and similar to an elegant day spa that people go to. We want to project professionalism in a calm, peaceful atmosphere where our customers will get the sense that their pets will be pampered. In our remodel, we will be using a lot of earth tones while mixing in some of the blues and greens you'll see in the vet clinic logo. We want the logo appear upscale but still somewhat casual. Our clientele likes high end services and white glove treatment but they don't always have a lot of money to spend so we don't want to come off as too high toned.

We'd like to see different types of design concepts. I could see us going with a logo featuring animals, similar to the vet clinic but I am starting to lean toward a stylized "W" logo, kind of like W Hotels (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotels/index.html?language=en_US) or Renaissance hotels (http://www.marriott.com/renaissance-hotels/upscale-hotels.mi) but more stylized. I'd really be interested in seeing designs that have a stylized "W" but also incorporate animal imagery.
