Brief de Web Design

I would like a venue directory and booking website designed. The idea is that end users will come to the site to find venues for weddings, parties, events etc. They will be able to find the venue based on many criteria, the most important ones are availability and location - they will be able to see in real time which venues are available for the desired dates and areas.

Venues will be able to use the website as a reservation management tool, receive payments for bookings through the site and be able to manage bookings on the go. This will be made into an app. It needs to be developed in bootstrap. Brand name to be used: Redsteps. Venue, place and space bookings.

Target audience - end users - anyone who is looking for a venue. For Community members it will provide an easy way to find a suitable venue
Outline what dates and times the venue is available
Outline costs involved in booking the venue
Search via many other criteria
It will allow the customer to book and pay for the venue online in one smooth process

Clients: Venue managers - particularly focussing on not for profit businesses eg, RSLs, community hall managers, small business managers. These people typically use paper based systems yet and do not use websites so it needs to be very user friendly. Future growth to restaurants, pubs, event venues who have a stronger familiarity with computers and who might already use their own booking management tool - so this needs to be able to link in with their system.

What need will this meet for venue managers:
This tool provides venues with greater visibility, promotion and advertising of their venue
This allows more customers to find them and book with them
This tool will be offered to not-for-profit venue managers for free to better connect them to the community
This means greater profit for these community venues
This means more revenue and jobs created in these communities
