Brief de Design Illustration

We have developed a new product and are building our marketing materials. One of the things we need is a diagram for the "Hold Alert" process. We have the attached diagram, but it is very elementary ... very VISIO. We would like the chart to have some design elements but without being "overly" graphic". The Illustration can be any shape. Our style is just clean and simple.

This is the first time we have had anyone help us with design ... Lord knows we need it Design is not something that we should be doing internally and would like to build external relationships.
