Brief de Design de Logo

Motiv Engineering is mechanical engineering consultancy providing engineering services and testing. We mainly serve the automotive enthusiast (certifying modified vehicles) and trade sectors (product development & certification). The company also provides some general mechanical engineering consultancy, and also some services to the railway industry.
• We would like the finished design to include the company name “Motiv Engineering”.
• The company has no specific tag line, though the words “Transport Solutions” has been considered as part of the logo to provide better description of the sector that we operate in.
• Location: Adelaide, South Australia
• The business is expanding both in its breadth of service and client base.
• A more professional look is required.
• The typical age of customers is varied across all age groups (20’s to 60’s)
• We do not have any specific colours in mind but would prefer to keep the palate simple with 2-3 colours maximum.
• The ability for the logo to be converted to black and white for printing is desirable.
• The idea of a logo that implies movement has been considered, but we are open to all recommendations / suggestions.
• We would prefer that the logo does not incorporate a vehicle shape, as it is felt that this may limit company diversification in the future.
• To be used on all outgoing reports and paperwork, business cards, website (still to be developed), and on employee shirts.
