Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo design for my construction company 'Lapstrake Construction' based in Canberra, Australia. I specialize in extension and renovation construction. 'Lapstrake' is a term used in boat building to describe a construction method where planks are laid in an overlapping fashion along a boats hull, the curves of which are then accentuated by the shadow lines created by the overlaps. I would like to incorporate something of this look into my logo, as I find it very pleasing to the eye, without looking too much like a boat, as I don't build boats (except in my spare time!). I would also like to keep the colors down to one or two, preferably including blue, and to keep it fairly simple.
