Brief de Design de Carte de Visite

At Ripples Edge Media, we're on a mission to ensure every entrepreneur and cause-driven business effectively harnesses the power of new media. We love helping passionate people bring their dreams into being and as a small, passionate team, we work cooperatively to execute video and content strategies utilizing the most appropriate, creative, tangible tactics to elevate your operations and ensure the future sustainability of efforts.

Our video production company needs a new business card design that is innovative (like many of our crowdfunding clients' products and campaigns), integrates our brand's and logo's colors and has now

One idea I had been playing with was for the front of the card to be have the bottom 1/4 be waves (or similar shape) and blue - with our URL centered there. And the other top 3/4 of the card be black/ slate gray (but it might need to be white). The info we want on the card is our logo (centered at the top will likely be best), Christine Beggs, Creative Director (underneath), C.Beggs@RipplesEdgeMedia.com, URL, and Ph | 484-947-1570. I am also interested in integrating/ figuring out a place to put a QR code that links to our portfolio (projects page at http://ripplesedgemedia.com/projects).

The back of the card I would still like to be most blank and empty (with space for people to write) but having some kind of watermarked logo or graphics in the corners/ at the bottom of the card would be good. I'd also like our tagline 'Become the next success story' on the back. Maybe the QR code on the back?? Not sure.

Preference is for the card to be horizontal (not vertical); but I'm open to that idea. The design will be uploaded to vistaprint for printing with their new 'spot gloss' and 'raised print' options (on thick, professional card stock). And as such, the design needs to be 3.5" x 2".

Pretty much anything will be an upgrade from what we are currently using, so have at it! :) I will say though that we are looking for simplicity and beautiful curves (not as much boxed blocks and hard edges) - we're open to really innovative aesthetics and ideas as well. But think blues and water - fluidity when designing.


The first attachment is an image, front and back, of my current business card (boring and much in need of an update).

The second attachments is 1 example of a business card designs I found that I like the curved aesthetics of and blue shapes (but by no means are example what I am looking for).

The third attachment is a higher resolution version of our logo (the highest that we have) - you'll need to crop it.

The fourth attachment is the size template for the design - these are the dimensions you should mimic.
