Brief de Design de Logo
We are a small, family owned, computer tech support company. We currently have a logo, and are looking for a high quality redesign. It will be used primarily on our website, but should be easily incorporated into other forms of media. We are in the middle of a complete website overhaul, and want something that both stays true to the existing logo, and fits nicely into our web design. The original concept was incorporating our initials into an abstract version of the shape of Long Island, NY. I’ve attached the current logo, in several versions. I’ve also set up a homepage-only demo of our new website, with the current low quality logo, at www.longislandsystems.com/demo, for you to get a feel for where we are going.

Clarification: We definitely want to have our original symbol (abstract depiction of Long Island) in the logo not a new symbol, but what we’re looking for are variations / improvements to get a professional and current look. We are most interested in seeing variations in colors, shades, and effects. Or even possibly the slight changes to the dimensions or maybe even combining it with an additional element (curved or straight line(s), square(s), etc.
We’ve also have trouble deciding if the full name of Long Island Systems should always be part of the logo or just in certain circumstances. Plus we want to see where in relation to the symbol the name looks best and with what font.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I've received several messages from designers that wished to participate, but were dissuaded by the fact that our contest was not guaranteed. As the project manager, I want to ensure we get the best entries and the most artists involved that we can. I've made the contest guaranteed, and also extended the deadline by 5 days, to give more time for interaction and feedback.
