Just to clarify, being my first time I followed the questions to submit a project and chose the Wordpress option.

I am under the impression I am getting a Wordpress theme after the design is approved, please let me know if this is not the case.

We wanna know if you want a design only and not coded site or full working WP site ( your budget is too low for that work - coding and design). If design only, it means after the contest you only get design in psd file (photoshop file) and you have somebody to code them.

We are in. But before start we want to let you know that in Design Crowd, WordPress design means the home page psd file in layer made in Photoshop. So after getting that you would need someone to make the HTML/CSS and then a coder to make the theme. We did the same thing for many of the WordPress project and there the final deliverable was the home page layered psd file made in Photoshop. At the same time we made theme for some of the client but that was treated as a different project.

I think the best way is to talk with Design Crowd's customer Care.

Ok, I now see that the project is for a final PSD (or .fw.png ok) file which I would need to code into the site.

This is fine, please do not worry about having to code the template.

I am still looking forward to seeing new designs if possible ;-)
