We like a bit modern look and we didn't think of colors but I don't really like yellow, brown or dark colors.
We will be putting this logo on jackets, possibly black ones.

As you said that you don't like yellow/brown colors, does it mean that you don't want them in the logo?
I'm asking because you can find these colors in potatoes, canola, corn, sunflowers and wheat so it would be tempting to use them in your logo. Plus they would look good on black T-shirts.
