Brief de Design Graphique

We are a new business, Deep Impact Retreats, specialising in organising and holding professional development retreats in exotic locations (generally outside Australia.) We are targeting professionals and practitioners in the health-related industries (e.g. psychologists, doctors, healing practitioners.)

I need a small brochure (either 3-fold A4 size) or double-sided A4 to promote a retreat we are organising in Bali next year (Bali Growth & Renewal). This retreat focuses on the 3 practices of Buddhism (Nicheren), Mindfulness and Hypnosis, and introduces newcomers to each of these practices. Nichiren Buddhism embraces the practice of chanting (Nam myho ho renge kyo)

We would like the brochure to strike the right balance between visual (nice pictures of Bali and the retreat location at Vision Villas, Bali) and descriptive text content which will give enough information to busy health professionals and appeal to their professional development needs (see attached content draft.)

Exigences

Doit avoir

• visuals showing aspects of: Nichiren Buddhism (chanting or hands together with beads pose), massage, contemplation, mindfulness etc, plus images showing retreat location (Vision Villas, Bali). There is a lot of material on the latter's website.
  A symbol of Nichiren Buddhism is the lotus flower NOT Buddha.
  
  Colours should be restful and muted.
  
  Ages of people targeted are between 30 and 60.
  
  Follow the Copy draft loosely but feel free to re-arrange the elements to fit the brochure/flyer format
  
  Logo/text style for DEEP IMPACT RETREATS optional. (We don't currently have a logo).
  
  Images are representative only.

Ne doit pas comporter

• avoid design cliches
  No yoga poses
  No images of Buddha (Nichiren Buddhism is a humanistic belief system so there is no worship of Buddha himself).
  Lotus flower more appropriate.
