Brief de Web Design

Hello,

I am looking for a CSS theme design for an Australian pagan social network site based on the ning platform, I have paid for the rights to customize the theme & layout design as I see fit. I am looking to completely customize its look, layout and coloring to bring needed potential to the site.

The domain still points to Ning however this will soon be changed.

** Please note : The Current name is Paganism Australia HOWEVER as we are updating the site we are updating the name and the name for the site will be The Pagan Veil **

I would like the site to steer clear of the usual pagan imagery and would like the site to look like it has stepped back in time with an old antique look and old/traditional pagan imagery used for example . I would like the header to be quite large.

I would like the theme to remain clean, crisp and modern with and old "feel"

I would like the colors to be more neutral and natural to keep with the old antiuqe feel however greens, browns, creams, and hints of bolder colors would be fine.

Please note I also like the idea of vines creeping in around the page if this is possible.

I like how the star is made out of twigs and vines.

Essentially I would like to provide potential members with a unique experience when the enter the site, I would like the look to have a strong web presence that draws members in as if they are stepping back in time with the site.

For example the below pagan sites are the exact opposite of what I would like.

As you can see there is quite a clean slate to work with as the site is colorless and boring.

I would like to see how creative you can be as 90% percent of pagan site ( and there are millions ) are filled with boring graphic and bad gif's !!

I would like to be one of the first to provide a truly gratifying experience when the public land on this site.

This site was started as a personal endeavour into belief's and search for meaning, however from the day it was created people began to post and share and it has only continued to grow, I had questioned removing the site but the out cry I received from the participating members was huge and thus I decided to keep it running. Since that time all have agreed the site has so much potential however its look lets it down the most.In Australia paganism is still only coming out to be an everyday accepted religion and and I would like to continue to raise awareness and educate through the Pagan Veil site.

My target market is members of all ages 18 - 60 in western speaking countries, however I would like the site to be clear in its depiction of paganism and not using imagery that may offend.

• The site look is the main priority, the are many unique users to the site everyday and this number has been increasing however it is let down by the overall look of the site. Ning have a simple customization techniques that can altered via the site however they do little to improve the site to a level that it will meet its desired potential.
