Brief de Design de Logo

We need a new logo design for our Render (cement render/solid plastering) and paint business located in Queensland, Australia. I have attached our current logo, although we are not tied to any element of this, we are looking for something simple (e.g. the apple logo and font is simple, but effective). We are not at all partial to the trowel and brush, but open to ideas. Colours are white, bright red and charcoal.
