Would you prefer inserting the logo in the picture that you uploaded or a personal design of that logo . And the colors ? Use just gold ?

That pic I sent is just a sample of our crest, and unfortunately the only one I have. The centre part of that Maltese cross is our part of the IAFF logo. I would like the configuration of that remain the same but the font/sizing/colour can change.
As for the rest of the IAFF Maltese cross, I'm pretty open to ideas. There's a standard IAFF Maltese cross and many Fire Departments and Unions have Customized it to suit their Dept/Union. My overall hope is for ours to have a "real" feel and not a "cartoon" feel to it.
